Be informed that the Russian Federation Government had previously adopted the Decree allowing a single exit from Russia to the place of permanent residence in a foreign country for citizens of the Russian Federation disposing of citizenship, residence permit or other valid document confirming the right to permanent residence.
Based on this decision, Pridnestrovian residents with Russian citizenship also got the opportunity to return to their homeland by land transport. Meanwhile, it should be noted that traveling to the permanent residence in Pridnestrovie these persons need to effectuate a transit travel, including through the territory of Ukraine. Moreover, under the current restrictive measures such passage is possible only in accordance with the established procedure.
In view of the foregoing, to avoid cases of arrival on the Ukrainian border without prior permission for transit travel, we recommend that when planning these trips, be sure to contact the PMR Foreign Ministry in advance at the email address office@mid.gospmr.org to recieve the necessary recommendations.
