The Expert (Working) Groups on Crime Combating from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova resumed their activity more than one year later at the OSCE Mission Office in Bendery on March 3, current year.
The meeting was devoted to relevant aspects of law enforcement cooperation and implementation of existing obligations in the framework of the negotiation process.
Particularly, the Pridnestrovian delegation addressed the problems of criminal cases, and specific cases of citizens of the PMR’s arbitrary detention by Moldovan law enforcement agencies.
The Pridnestrovian side states that the Moldovan side excessively politicizes issues related to the interaction of law enforcement agencies of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, and notes that the Republic of Moldova’s refusal to practically cooperate in this area affects negatively the ensuring of legitimate rights and security of the two republics’ citizens.
