The Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the meeting between the Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the Netherlands Embassy Office Mr. Floris Van Eijk.
Welcoming, Vitaly Ignatiev praised the possibility of direct communication and exchange of views in the context of bilateral cooperation. “We are traditionally committed to the most open interaction with international partners. There are many myths around Pridnestrovie and the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict. Therefore, we strive to show the real picture of who lives in this territory, what we want and what we can offer the world. This is subject to economy, culture, tourism, and other areas. Therefore, I’m ready to answer your questions and I’m sure that our communication will be mutually beneficial,” the PMR Foreign Minister noted.
During the conversation, Vitaly Ignatiev told the Dutch diplomat about the political and legal independence of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic foundations.
Answering the guest’s questions, the head of the ministry talked over the matter on the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Vitaly Ignatiev stated that the Moldovan side was not ready to comply with the previously reached agreements and also informed about new restrictive measures of the Republic of Moldova against the PMR.
At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue on the whole spectrum of issues of mutual interest.
