Representatives of Pridnestrovien and Moldavian core institutions and organizations, responsible for the functioning of communication and telecommunications, railroad traffic, and representatives of customs authorities of the sides were present at the meeting.
The participants of the consultations discussed the issues, connected with restoration of full-fledged rail service through Pridnestrovie, and conditions of interaction between corresponding organizations. The sides agreed to arrange one more meeting in order to define the mechanism of customs control of freight trains.
Problems in the sphere of communication, particularly those connected with restoration of direct channels of fixed communication, with mail service and radio-frequency spectrum, were discussed in the network of the consultations. The Pridnestrovien side considers it necessary to solve such problems in complex. According to PMR's Minister of Information and Telecommunications Vladimir Belyaev, it is necessary to sign core document with the guarantees of the participants of negotiation process in order not to repeat past mistakes. The Moldavian side insists on solving of the problems within the limits of Moldavian legislation. At the same time, Moldavian representatives expressed readiness to seek solutions by means of changing the RM's legislation, understanding the absence of any prospect of such position. Representatives of core institutions agreed to conduct in the near future a number of appropriate consultations in order to work out the parameters, which will accord with the sides' interests.
During today's meeting the sides managed to coordinate basic parameters of the regulations of the activity of expert groups and outlined plans for the future. According to Vladimir Yastrebchak, the heads of Ministries and agencies, responsible for the interaction with Moldavian colleagues, for the present will not go on vacation. The participants of the meeting will continue the consultations on given issue.
During the conversation Vladimir Yastrebchak repeatedly drew the attention of the participants on the fact that it is necessary to follow the principles of the equality of the sides and of mutual understanding, while solving any socio-economic and political questions. “This is necessary condition for elaboration of acceptable decisions on long-term outlook,” Minister pointed.
