President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk received the German delegation headed by Authorized Representative of the FRG\'s Foreign Ministry for countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Cord-Hinrich Meier-Klodt. The delegation included the recently appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FRG to the RM Ulrike Knotz. Taking part from the Pridnestrovian side in the meeting was Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation – Foreign Minister of the PMR Nina Shtanski. Issues of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Germany were discussed during the dialogue.  Besides, a special attention was paid to the process of settlement of Moldo-Pridnestrovian relations. Particularly, the Pridnestrovian side reminded that in November 2013 on the international platform provided at the initiative of Germany (Landshut) President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk had already proposed to the international partners to discuss the “civilized divorce” as a fair settlement formula. In the course of the meeting the issue was on unilateral actions undertaken actively by the Republic of Moldova recently. “Blocking opportunity for agricultural export to Russia connected with not issuing certificates to our farmers last week is hard to call friendly step.  It is another measure of pressure. But the pressure policy, as well as the criminal prosecution of Pridnestrovian officials, - these are not at all what can stabilize our dialogue with Moldova,” – noted the President of the PMR. The Head of State also emphasized “steps of this kind lead to degradation of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, create preconditions for increasing tension”.The participants had a focus on issues of the Pridnestrovian-German interaction in cultural, educational and other humanitarian areas.
