The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Education of the PMR Svetlana Fadeeva, Senior Adviser of the Office of the OSCE High Commissioner Bob Dean and Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jan Jan Plešinger.

The discussion during the meeting was focused on a number of sensitive issues in the humanitarian sphere. Nina Shtanski noted that during the last meeting with Astrid Thors, many of them were subjects of detailed and fruitful exchange of views, but to this day, these issues have not taken a step closer to their resolution. Meanwhile, according to Minister of Foreign Affairs, the sides continue to search for solutions in these areas.

"We were unable to find a solution on a problem of legalization of Pridnestrovian documents on education, our suggestions to defuse the tension on the issue of Romanian schools have not still been understood by the Moldovan side. We currently await the arrival of European experts in Pridnestrovie and Moldova who are going to help us in resolving the issues on the legalization of educational documents. Next week, experts in the field of education are going to start substantive work on the so-called Regulations of activity of the Romanian schools in Pridnestrovie", – said the Minister. We remind, to begin developing the common document regulating the activity of Romanian schools in the PMR, Pridnestrovian and Moldovan experts agreed at the Conference on Confidence-Building Measures, held in Freising, Germany, on June 10-11, 2014.

In the course of the meeting, Nina Shtanski informed the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities about the other problem issue in the relations between Moldova and Pridnestrovie, namely the problem of forced documenting the citizens of Pridnestrovie by the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova. The head of Pridnestrovian diplomacy noted that the discussion of this issue is conducted at various platforms, and expressed hope that the Office of the High Commissioner will take part in resolving this issue. "This issue is discussed not only by Moldova and Pridnestrovie on a bilateral level, but also was the subject of discussion at the last round of negotiations in the" 5 +2 " format in Vienna. Taking this opportunity, in the course of this meeting, I will allow myself to inform you about this problem and I will ask you and your Office about the substantive recommendations,"- said the diplomat.

At the end of the meeting the sides expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to achieve concrete results on problematic issues, which resolution is interested for both Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
