Club of Friends of Pridnestrovie Holds Creative Meeting in Moscow

On November 30, 2011, the working meeting with creative community took place in Moscow in the framework of the project “Club of Friends of Pridnestrovie”. The event took place in the Moscow Theatre of Russian Drama “Chamber Scene”, which was organized by Representation Office of the PMR in Moscow – Cooperation Centre “Pridnestrovie”, as well as International Association of Workers of Culture and Art (MARKIS) and Pridnestrovie-Moldova Association of Fellow-Countrymen.

Development of contacts between amateurs of theater work in Moscow and Pridnestrovie were touched upon at the meeting. The possibility of organizing a theatrical performance of the play “The Pace of the Fate» by A.N. Zelinskiy and Yu.G. Shishina, keepers of heritage of our compatriot N.D. Zelinskiy, was discussed further to the work of international educational project “Russia's Glorious Sons: Distinguished Russians in the History of Pridnestrovie”.

Art director of the theatre M.G. Shepenko raised issue of spiritual development of young people. He told that performances involving issues of personality formation and search for universal values take place at the theatre stage with unalterable success. The Chamber Scene has been holding festivals of school creative collectives for already several years in a row. The next 14th in a row Moscow All-Russian Festival of school theatres “Russian Drama” is going to open on April 26, 2012 under motto “Look after Your Honour from Your Early Age”. The event will be dedicated to the fortitude of Russian people in their struggle against foreign invaders of 1612 and 1812. Participants of creative collectives of Pridnestrovie were proposed to take part in the festival as well.

Besides, Art Director of the theatre – Honoured Arts Worker of Russia, Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Professor Mikhail Grigoryevich Shepenko was presented a commemorative sign of MARKIS for development of international cultural ties.
