Today, opening of the 8-th traditional winter vernisage, organized by “KamArt” took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR. Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Vice-President of the International Association of Culture and Art Professionals (MARKIS) Yuriy Salko, Executive Secretary of the MARKIS Nikolay Dymchenko, archpriest Vladimir Skorobogatiy, representatives of the art community of the republic participated in the event.

The first exposition of this year on the occasion of Christmas festivities laid the foundation of the new MFA's creative season. Artworks, created during the 8-th “KamArt” International Symposium in autumn 2013 in Pridnestrovie and Ukraine: 10 landscape paintings and 4 ornamental designs of Pridnestrovian, Ukranian, and Gaguzian artists were presented in the exhibition.

In the course of the event, Deputy Minister Igor Shornikov noticed that Pridnestrovian artists' works make traditionally an integral part of cultural diplomacy of the republic. By his words, Pridnesrovian artists' works which are well-known in the CIS-member states and Europe, promote development of a positive image abroad. “The visual arts are traditionally one of the blessed spheres in Pridnestrovian culture. Works of Pridnestrovian artists are highly appreciated in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, and in many other countries. The most important contribution to the popularity of Pridnestrovian artists' works and, generally, to the cultural cooperation development of the Republic is made over the years by the international Art Project “KamArt”,” – emphasized Deputy Minister.

The Vice-President of the International Association of Culture and Art Professionals (MARKIS) Yuriy Salko, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the MFA of the PMR for assistance while realizing the “KamArt” project, and also conveyed the Symposium organizators' gratitude to Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for international cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski for support in the development of cultural life of the Republic.

The Executive Secretary of the MARKIS Nikolay Dymchenko also noticed that the opening of the installation occurred on the 21st anniversary of the foundation of the International Association of Culture and Art Professionals (MARKIS). A number of artists were awarded by the MARKIS representative on the occasion of the solemn date.
