Today, within the framework of the ongoing visit to the capital of the Russian Federation Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev held several meetings with representatives of the government of Russia.
In particular, the Head of Foreign Ministry had a working meeting with Dmitry Loskutov, the Assistant to Deputy Prime Minister, Special Representative of the Russian President for Pridnestrovie D.O. Rogozin.
The sides discussed actual issues of the current socio-political situation in Pridnestrovie. Special attention was paid to the areas of inter-agency cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie within the framework of the array of memoranda signed in 2014-2015. They also exchanged views on the situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, in particular, emphasis was placed on the need for early cancellation of any restrictive measures on the part of the Republic of Moldova, which create obstacles to the dialogue. At the end of the meeting the sides agreed to continue cooperation on a wide range of relevant issues.
As part of the preliminary agreement with representatives of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies an interview with Vitaly Ignatiev was also held today for the RISS TV. It is expected that the material will go on the air next week.
