A concert “Chronicle of the Victory” for veterans of the Great Patriotic War took place in Tiraspol today. The event was organized by the Pervy Pridnestrovsky TV channel. Creative teams of the republic performed military songs, presenters of the TV channel read a poem dedicated to the Victory and heroism of the Soviet soldiers. The initiators of the campaign were also the Post Office of Pridnestrovie and Poligrafist printing house.
The campaign “Chronicle of the Victory” was launched in the republic in March 2015. Letter-triangles were printed in thousands of copies in which on the eve of the holiday everyone could write words of gratitude to the veterans. Residents of the republic wrote more than 2,000 letters. Small envelopes created on the military pattern will be given to Pridnestrovians who defended the Homeland in the Great Patriotic War.
At the charity concert held in the square of the Tiraspol United Museum was attended by representatives of state authorities, creative teams of the republic, as well as residents of Pridnestrovie. The Foreign Ministry was presented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Igor Shornikov. On behalf of the staff of the Foreign Ministry he congratulated the veterans on the upcoming Victory Day and expressed gratitude for the great exploit accomplished by them during the years of struggle against German fascist invaders.
At the conclusion of the concert all the participants and guests had the opportunity to enjoy the field kitchen, equipped specifically for the event.
