President of Pridnestrovie received the delegation of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh comprised of Secretary General, Head of the Staff of the MFA of the NKR Semyon Afiyan, as well as Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Standing Committee Artur Tovmasyan.
The guests arrived in Pridnestrovie to participate in activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for International Cooperation - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski.
Yevgeny Shevchuk thanked the delegation for the visit and congratulated the representatives of the fraternal people on the Day of the Artsakh - the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the state. The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has also celebrated the Independence Day on September 2. “I wish your people development, prosperity and lasting peace,” - said Yevgeny Shevchuk.
During the dialogue with representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh the sides discussed the development and support of partnerships between the two countries.
“Our two nations have a similar history. We have endured a lot. I am sure Pridnestrovie will overcome all difficulties because the people of the republic wants to be useful to their country,” - said Semyon Afiyan.
At the end of the meeting the sides exchanged souvenirs.
