In fulfillment of the agreement on prolongation of the Protocol Decision On Principles of Resumption of Full-Scale Railway Freight Transportation through the Territory of Pridnestrovie signed on March 30, 2012 in Tiraspol today at about 16:00 in Kishinev the meeting between the President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk and the Prime Minister of the RM Vladimir Filat shall take place. The parties are expected to specify the parameters of the earlier-reached agreement on the resumption of full-scale railway transportation through Pridnestrovie and to prolong its term of functioning. We should remind that initial term of functioning of the mechanism which was fixed in the document was set to 6 months with the ability of its prolongation upon mutual agreement of the parties.
Besides there is a wide range of issues of social and economic character in the meeting's agenda. The parties are expected to discuss problems in spheres of vehicle and railway transport, passenger transportation, transport logistics. It is planned to discuss issues of cooperation in banking sphere and issues of formation of adequate procedures needed for sensitizing of economic activity of agents from both sides.
Political representatives of Pridnestrovie and of Moldova Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov shall also participate in the meeting.
Supplemental information: the Protocol Decision On Principles of Resumption of Full-Scale Railway Freight Transportation through the Territory of Pridnestrovie was signed by the President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk and by the Prime-Minister of Moldova Vlad Filat on March 30, 2012. Signing of this document became possible because work of expert (working) groups of the parties and of the political representatives. According to hands-on experience the meetings are held in turn in Tiraspol and in Kishinev.
