On September 1, PMR's Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaliy Ignatiev received Deputy Director of the CIS Institute (CISI) on regional security and military cooperation Ildar Safargaleev.
Representative of leading expert and research organization of the Russian Federation visited Pridnestrovie in order to participate in solemn events, dedicated to the 21st Anniversary of creation of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic on the invitation of PMR's President.
Pridnestrovie is connected with the CIS Institute (Institute of Diaspora and integration) by long-term relations of effective partnership. I.F. Safargaleev visits the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic for the fourth time.
During the meeting interlocutors discussed wide range of issues of mutual professional interest. The sides considered the peculiarities of foreign-policy situation around Pridnestrovie in the context of ensuring regional stability and security.
Separate attention was paid to prospective directions of cooperation of PMR's foreign office and the Institute in the sphere of science, research, information and publishing.
Vitaliy Ignatiev told Russian expert about the basic aspects of the activity of PMR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the creation of positive international image of Pridnestrovie. The participants of the meeting marked positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation (at the end of May 2011, PMR's MFA delegation participated in jubilee scientific reading, dedicated to the 15th Anniversary of the CIS Institute) and discussed scheduled events within the framework of given strategic goal.
Interlocutors arranged to develop thematic interaction of PMR's MFA and CISI on a range of topical directions.
