Vitaly Ignatiev meets with representative of the Republic of Srpska

Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev held a meeting with Adviser of the Head of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Srpska in the Russian Federation Ilya Morozov. From the Pridnestrovian side the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of the Economic Development of the PMR Dmitry Boltrushko and Adviser of the Foreign Minister of the PMR Vera Tabak. 

Welcoming the guest, Vitaly Ignatiev expressed his gratitude for the fact that in such difficult conditions he found the opportunity to arrive in Pridnestrovie and to take part as an international observer in the elections to the Supreme and Local councils of all levels of PMR. “As you know, the Republic of Moldova has strengthened the restrictive measures, trying to block the international contacts of Pridnestrovie. It affected a number of international guests and partners from the Public Chamber of the RF, non-governmental agencies and scientists from Russia, the citizens of Serbia and Bulgaria. However, there were about thirty observers and it is also a very good result in view of the activities that we held, and people’s wish to come to Pridnestrovie,” - the diplomat said.

Ilya Morozov, in his turn, thanked the Pridnestrovian side for the opportunity to be involved in such a significant event for Pridnestrovie. During the meeting, the representative of the Republic of Srpska told the Pridnestrovian side about the peculiarities of the foreign economic activity, shared his experience in the development of different spheres of vital activity of the state. The parties discussed the promising areas of cooperation between the republics in the trade and economic field.

During the meeting, Vitaly Ignatiev told the representative of the Republic of Srpska about current problems and challenges, faced by the republic for a long time, especially in the context of the synchronization of blockade-restrictive actions on the part of Moldova and Ukraine.

The head of the ministry noted that the similarity of historical processes and the direction of the foreign policy vector of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Srpska could serve as a basis for future cooperation in various fields.

The sides agreed to develop cooperation on a number of directions.
