On December 12, 2010, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Vladimir Yastrebchak, met with deputy of the Russia's State Duma, Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee for Public Associations and Religious Organizations, Sergey Markov.
The Russian parliamentarian and political scientist arrived in Pridnestrovie to monitor the elections to the Supreme Soviet of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic. During the meeting an interested conversation took place regarding a number of directions of cooperation in accordance with earlier reached accords. A range of issues was discussed related to further mutually beneficial constructive cooperation.
