Today, Vice-Chairperson of the Government of the PMR, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski met with representatives of guarantor countries, observers and mediators in the negotiation process on the Pridnestrovian settlement from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the OSCE, the USA and the European Union. The delegation was headed by Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE for the Pridnestrovian settlement Ambassador Erwan Fouere. Participating in the meeting were also Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian MFA Sergey Gubarev, Special Representative of Ukraine for Pridnestrovian settlement Igor Kharchenko, Head of the European Union Delegation in Moldova Dirk Shuebel, Desk Officer of U.S. State Department for Moldova Wendy Stancer. The Pridnestrovian side was also represented by Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly ignatiev.  



In the course of the meeting the sides exchanged views on results of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Pridnestrovian Settlement Negotiation Process during Irish OSCE Chairmanship, and also gave preliminary evaluation of the work of expert (working) groups.  



Nina Shtanski voiced appreciation to the participants of today's meeting for their contribution to the process of the Moldova-Pridnestrovie conflict settlement. “We highly appreciate Your international involvement and the impetus You give to political representatives from round to round,” she noticed. The Minister marked contribution of mediators, guarantors and observers to the work of expert groups. “Current work of expert groups is being monitored by international representatives, observes of each side participate in their work. This allows strengthening cooperation of experts in the banking sphere, economic collaboration, education, medicine and many other spheres,” the Minister told. Nina Shtanski also stressed that initiative forwarded by the Pridnestrovian side on more intense involvement of international participants in the work of expert groups as a subsidiary mechanism of the negotiation process was broadly supported by the participants of the Permanent Conference. According to the Minister, final meeting in the 5+2 which will take place in Dublin on November 27-30, 2012, will be an additional contribution to the dialogue between Moldova and Pridnestrovie.  



Special Representative of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for Pridnestrovian settlement Ambassador Erwan Fouere noted that the goal of the meeting is not only to prepare for the final meeting of the Permanent Conference but to evaluate events of past weeks. “We are inspired by the meetings of working groups which were not few,” Erwan Fouere marked. According to him, a number of groups have reached certain progress in work. The diplomat, “We were closely monitoring the meetings of political representatives. We think that the rhythm and dynamics of these meetings should be preserved in order to solve issues of movement of people, cargo and services and to build climate of trust between the conflicting sides”.



Today, representatives of guarantor countries, mediators and observers will be received by the Head of the state. As it was announced earlier, delegation will also meet with heads of expert (working) groups on economy, education, law-enforcement, transport, healthcare and telecommunications. Following results of the consultations, Erwan Fouere will give interview to mass media representatives.
