Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the meeting of the PMR Supreme Council Commission for Foreign Policy and International Relations

Today, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the meeting of the PMR Supreme Council Commission for Foreign Policy and International Relations.

The central topic of the discussion was the forthcoming visit to the Republic of Deputy Prime Minister, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin. In this context, the Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry drew the attention of the deputies to a set of topical issues, which could be helpful to consider in the upcoming meeting with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister. They reached a consensus that it would be expedient to discuss the following relevant aspects of the Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation: pensions provision for Russian citizens residing in Pridnestrovie, citizenship granting to the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie with no legal connection with the Soviet Union, payments of the RF maternity capital in Pridnestrovie, opening of the Consulate General, upcoming elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

During the Commission meeting as initiated by the PMR Supreme Council members the interlocutors also touched on the prospects and the possible content parameters of contacts between representatives of the Supreme Council of the PMR and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
