Today Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR saw a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the delegation of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
Participating in the meeting were Senior Human Dimension Officer at the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jacqueline Carpenter, Legal Expert of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Igor Pivovar and Legal Consultant of the OSCE Mission to Moldova at the OSCE Office in Tiraspol Vlada Lysenko.
During the meeting the sides discussed a number of topical issues of bilateral interaction, paying separate attention to educational sphere.
From her side Jacqueline Carpenter noted, that the OSCE renders active support to the activity of expert (working) groups on education, which began their work in 2012.
The Officer marked the problem of recognition of Pridnestrovian educational documents and the problem of monitoring of condition of the schools, situated on the territory of Pridnestrovie under the authority of Moldova as priority issues for the Mission in given sphere.
During the meeting the representatives of the OSCE Mission informed Pridnestrovian side on preliminary outcomes of evaluation of situation with the so-called “Romanian” schools. Within this context Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev noticed, that Pridnestrovie is interested in the openness of the given process and in receipt of objective information on the state of affairs in given institutions.
Interlocutors also exchanged opinions on the outcomes of the seminar, dedicated to the problems of higher education and students' academic mobility, held on June 26-27 in Vienna with the participation of institutions of higher education of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
