The regular meeting of the Expert (Working) Groups on Economic Issues from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova was held today in the Tiraspol Office of the OSCE Mission. The meeting was attended by representatives of the “Permanent Conference…” from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the OSCE and the United States.
During the meeting industry expert of the sides discussed the current issues faced by the Pridnestrovian economic agents while carrying on their business. Particular attention was paid to the issue of foreign economic activity of Pridnestrovie, in particular, charging of several indirect tax payments to the budget of the Republic of Moldova.
The sides also exchanged within the meeting their views and discussed a number of practical aspects related to the functioning of the current mechanism for land tenancy by Moldovan farmers in Pridnestrovian Dubossary district. Due to a number of problematic issues the sides agreed with the need to improve and optimize the current mechanism of temporary land use.
The meeting discussed a number of other issues of mutual concern, and agreed to continue the systematic work on target areas.
