Today Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev sent to Head of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia Vyacheslav Chirikba congratulations on the 23th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Abkhazia.
In the welcoming address, the head of the Pridnestrovian diplomacy noted that the agreement signed on 22 January 1993 at the dawn of establishment of Abkhazia and Pridnestrovie was the beginning of the formalization of the relationship between the two countries, laying a solid foundation for further constructive partnership based on the principles of brotherly support, mutual sympathy and general pursuit of justice.
“Implementing the Treaty rules brought relations between the two brotherly countries to a qualitatively new level and made it possible to ensure their practical content through the conclusion of the whole complex of inter-agency agreements. I am convinced that the high level of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia will continue to create conditions for improving the welfare of our people,” - said Vitaly Ignatiev.
