“There should be no winners or losers in the negotiation process (on settlement of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict – note of IA REGNUM). Each party should gain from negotiations,” the Head of the Pridnestrovian MFA Pridnestrovian Nina Shtanski said during the meeting on February 7 with Andrey Deshchitsa, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, as it was reported to correspondent of IA REGNUM at the Press Service of the PMR's MFA.

In the course of the meeting the parties exchanged their views and proposals on arrangements to the next negotiation round in the format of “Permanent Conference” scheduled for the second half of February in Lvov. According to Nina Shtanski, participants of the“5+2” format (Moldova and Pridnestrovie – parties to the conflict, Russia and Ukraine – guarantors and mediators, the OSCE – a mediator, the EU and the USA – observers, note of IA REGNUM) expect the negotiation process to be more effective. “Population of Pridnestrovie and Moldova has also positive expectations,” the Pridnestrovian diplomat assures. “The issues we haven't managed to settle last year would be hopefully agreed,” Nina Shtanski stressed. She reminded that she meant social and economic issues included on the discussion agenda.

This opinion was shared by Andrey Deshchitsa, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. He pointed out the need to find solutions acceptable to all, namely, solutions to particular problems of the population.
