Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the meeting of Deputies Foreign Minister Sergey Simonenko, Alexander Malyarchuk and Vitaly Ignatiev with the delegation of the Council of Europe. It consisted of consultant on confidence-building, project coordinator Owen Masters and Adviser of CoE Directorate General on confidence-building Myrtia Murgia.
The participants of the meeting discussed prospects for program realisation carried out under auspices of the Council Europe in the sphere of higher education, mass media, and civil society. Interlocutors also exchanged views on the possibility for implementation of projects in the sphere of healthcare.
During the meeting participants discussed results of the international conference “Participation and Intercultural Governance at Local Level in the Balkans – Challenges and European Perspectives”, held in April in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the participation of representatives from Pridnestrovie.
In the process of the conversation a constructive character of interaction established between Council of Europe and the Pridnestrovien side during implementation of non-political humanitarian projects was marked. The interlocutors spoke in favour of continuation of further cooperation in this field.
