The Foreign Ministry has opened an exhibition of Pridnestrovian artist, director of Children's art school in Dubossary Igor Nirsha. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Igor Shornikov, director of the A.F. Foinitsky Children's Art School Maria Mariyan, as well as representatives of the creative community of Pridnestrovie.

Opening the exhibition, Igor Shornikov noted that the exhibition organically combines picturesque scenery of Pridnestrovie and the works dedicated to the tragic events of 1992. “Everything that was happening in Dubossary - the war, the losses suffered by Pridnestrovians- is clear to every viewer. At such moments, you feel fine line that separates peace, prosperity and stability from the tragedy,” - the diplomat said.

“Igor Nirsha is a purely Pridnestrovian artist who loves his land and tries to glorify it through his works. Opening of the author's exposition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we count, first of all, on guests of our republic. Representatives of other countries and international organizations will be able to better understand Pridnestrovie and the Pridnestrovians themselves through these paintings,” - said Igor Shornikov.

Igor Nirsha’s colleagues, Pridnestrovian artists, also came to congratulate him on the opening of the first personal exhibition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR. A member of the Union of Artists of Pridnestrovie Vladimir Shuma emphasized that Igor Nirsha is not just an artist. “He is a singer of his land, he sings his nature, and most importantly, he teaches young students with his works, shows how to love our country, our Motherland, and how to learn to create,” - said Vladimir Shuma.

At the conclusion of the event Igor Nirsha expressed gratitude to the Foreign Ministry for the opportunity to present his works at the ministry.

The exhibition of the artist runs during the month at the Foreign Ministry.
