On the meeting with a delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova

The meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Dmitry Palamarchuk and Deputy Head of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Neil Martin took place at the PMR's MFA. The meeting was also attended by Regional Conflict Adviser at British Embassy in Ukraine Patrick Tobin.

The sides exchanged views on a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they discussed some parameters of educational, research and cultural projects of the British Embassy, ​​proposed for implementation in Pridnestrovie.

During the meeting, Dmitry Palamarchuk told about some aspects of the ongoing dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, emphasizing the continuing low dynamics of the interaction between expert (working) groups due to the unwillingness of RM’s representatives for substantive and systemic communication. In addition, the Deputy Minister drew attention of his interlocutors to the need to take a number of practical steps aimed at resolving the problem of politically motivated criminal cases against Pridnestrovian citizens, as well as to the contradictions existing between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the economic field.

The sides agreed to continue to maintain contacts in areas of mutual interest.
