On February 15, 2011, the Glory Memorial in Tiraspol saw the meeting-requiem dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the soviet troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. Among those who came to honour the memory of the Pridnestrovien warriors-internationalists who fell in Afghanistan war and during Moldova's aggression against Pridnestrovie were President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, Chairman of the Supreme Soviet Anatoly Kaminsky, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, deputies, and representatives of the public. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Simonenko.
