“Eurasian Pridnestrovie” Media Centre was opened today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR. Participating to the meeting were Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR on Issues of International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski, Deputy Ministers Vitaly Ignatiev and Igor Shornikov and Russian guests – Dmitry Loskutov, Assistant to the Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the RF/Special Representative of the President of the RF for Pridnestrovie D. Rogozin, Chief Advisor of the Administrative Department of the President of the RF for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Andrey Rusakov, Director of “Eurasian Integration” Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization Alexander Argunov and the representative of “Eurasian Dialogue” Charity Fund Andrey Lebedev.



“Involvement in the process of Eurasian cooperation is priority for Pridnestrovian foreign policy. “Eurasian Pridnestrovie” Media Centre is launched in Pridnestrovie in order to achieve successfully the objectives aimed at promoting the integration of Pridnestrovian in the Customs Union, the Common Economic Space and the forming Eurasian Union”, Igor Shornikov stressed presenting the project.



The Media Centre is based on the self-named media portal at http://www.eurasian.su/. As noted, the “Eurasian Pridnestrovie” has been created for information support of the Eurasian integration process of the PMR: analytical and news block are already operating, development of Internet TV and discussion club for journalists are planned. The resource is intended to be a source of reliable first-hand information about the processes of Eurasian integration of the PMR. Panel discussion on possible ways and mechanisms of integration processes in the CIS as a whole, and in particular around Pridnestrovie will be opened on its pages.



“Eurasian Pridnestrovie” Media Centre is intended to be an open website and media platform for expert discussion of issues which are relevant to people living in Pridnestrovie, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia in the context of the emerging Eurasian integration”, the website of the Media Centre notes.



Aims of the Media Centre were supported by Russian visitors. As Dmitry Loskutov noted, this resource is capable to fill the gap in expert discussion on ways of Eurasian integration. Russian visitor also expressed the hope that the information resource will provide conditions for future implementation of socio-humanitarian projects in Pridnestrovie.



According to the Head of Pridnestrovian Foreign Service Nina Shtanski, MFA of the PMR became an initial particular correspondent office of the media project; however, major stuffing of the internet site should go into the hands of the mass-media and other actors of civil society. “The concept of ​​Eurasian integration announced by the President of the Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk as the national idea rose from below, its author is the multinational population of Pridnestrovie, and hence we have to implement it together,” Nina Shtanski emphasized.



In his address to participants and readers of “Eurasian Pridnestrovie” media portal the Head of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk called it “modern information project designed to inspire civil society of our Republic in achievement of goals which are close to each Pridnestrovian - to be together with Russia, to live in peace and security, to see a stable outlook for themselves and their children.” “Large-scale problems tighten spirit. It has been proved not once by Pridnestrovians who have always been and remain a major force in our country,” said the President of Pridnestrovie in his welcoming.



A number of news agencies and non-governmental organizations have already become partners of new media resource. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie has called on all interested mass media to cooperate with “Eurasian Pridnestrovie” Media Centre.
