On July 21, 2015 this year’s first meeting of the expert (working) groups on regulatory and document support of citizens from the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Moldova.
During the meeting, experts discussed a wide range of problematic aspects which hinder the practical interaction between the parties at the interdepartmental level. In this context, the parties agreed on the need to study sustainable mechanism for the exchange of mutual requests that require the processing of personal data, taking into account the provisions of the legislations of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
At the same time, the representatives of the relevant groups touched upon some problematic issues related to the implementation and amendment to the records, in order to resolve them a separate meeting of relevant experts will be held by mutual agreement of the parties.
In addition, according to the agenda of the meeting the parties also discussed issues on rendering duplicate decisions by Moldovan judicial authorities previously made by the courts of Pridnestrovie, as well as the issue of mutual recognition of documents on guardianship and custody.
Concluding the discussion, the heads of groups expressed readiness for a regular meeting in the third week of September this year.
