Interview by Nina Shtanski to Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper in Moldova

Today, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski gave an interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda in Moldova.

The journalist asked about the position of Pridnestrovie on the events in Crimea, inter alia in the context of the last statements by officials of Russia. Nina Shtanski described in detail the actual cooperation with neighbouring states: Moldova and Ukraine.

The interlocutors paid special attention to an issue of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie. Nina Shtanski emphasized that Russia continues to provide active support to the Republic, ensuring peace and stability in the region, as well as implementing socio-humanitarian projects through the work of ANO “Eurasian integration”.

Discussing the current situation in the negotiation process with Moldova, Nina Shtanski outlined her vision of its development and prospects.

The journalist also asked about the Pridnestrovie's attitude to the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union which is scheduled to be signed. Nina Shtanski expressed concerns about expected negative economic, political and diplomatic impacts on economy, cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, as well as the negotiation process by signing of that Agreement.
