Today, Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev met with the UN delegation led by UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Representative in Moldova Dafina Gercheva. The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Coordination Council on Technical Assistance of the PMR Galina Sandutsa.
The interlocutors discussed certain aspects of the implementation of the current joint projects, in particular in the field of rehabilitation of social infrastructure and the provision of assistance to women in crisis situation. UN officials informed the Pridnestrovian side of the intention to continue the work in such socially sensitive areas as ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities and combating the spread of HIV/AIDS.
At the end of the meeting the sides agreed to continue cooperation in order to promote better quality of life of the population of Pridnestrovie.
