On the Beginning of the Next Consultation Round in Vienna in the Format of the Permanent Conference

The next consultation round in the format of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Negotiating Process for Pridnestrovian Settlement shall take place on July 16 and 17 in Vienna.

Pridnestrovian side is intended to discuss in the course of the meeting socio-economic issues including freedom of movement, ecological interaction, and particularly stream channel dredging of Dniester, dismantling of dangerous cable way between Rybnitsa (PMR) and Rezina (Moldova), as well as obstacles of foreign trade activity for Pridnestrovian economic agents. Nina Shtanski informed on it earlier during the meeting of political representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova which was held on July 11 a.c. in Tiraspol.

As previously reported, particular attention should be paid to unilateral introducing of new migration rules by the Republic of Moldova and also to initiatives of the Moldovan government on imposing of sanctions on Pridnestrovians without nationality of the RM which are considered by the Parliament of Moldova.

According to expectations, media briefing featuring political representatives to the negotiation process from Pridnestrovie and Moldova Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Protracted Conflicts Andrey Deshchitsa will be held on Wednesday, July 17, after the end of the round. The briefing will be on the air approximately at 2:30 pm. Media personnel is invited to the OSCE Office in Chisinau where they could put questions to the political representatives.
