Nina Shtanski answered questions from the “Russian Reporter”
As acknowledged by the correspondent, the purpose of the visit is creating a small “film about the republic”. The interview with the Minister therefore developed into an exchange of views on a wide range of issues.Among the issues touched upon was the foreign and domestic policy of the state: the peculiarities of socio-economic processes, parameters that define the foreign policy position of Pridnestrovie, and of course, the current situation of Pridnestrovians themselves taking into account the extremely difficult external factors. Nina Shtanski thinks that there are all conditions in Pridnestrovie needed for living well, but the republic should be unblocked. “If we were removed from the fetters of the blockade, we could provide such a level of well-being to Pridnestrovians that not only all Pridnestrovians who left the country to earn money would return from Russia but people from neighbouring republics would come to us to work. There would not be enough our own forces, labour resources in order to launch “an economic machine” at full capacity which we were able to preserve” – Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister shared with the predictions of experts during her interview.   Today, being under sanctions and blockades Pridnestrovie not only does not give up, but also becomes more united. “The mode “Russians do not give up” was activated here in 1989. It is surprising when our colleagues step on the same rake by strengthening the blockade and pressure. We become even stronger, learn more experience from “sad” lessons of history. All this leads to greater consolidation of society,” – noted the Minister.Russia helps Pridnestrovie to survive and develop, but hardly the Republic would be able to maintain itself, if not for the people of Pridnestrovie, believes the Head of the Foreign Ministry. “Russia's presence in Pridnestrovie is a determining factor that helped us to survive and still stay “afloat”. Russia is a guarantor of the rights of the people who live here in Pridnestrovie, the rights of ethnic Russians, Russian citizens, all compatriots,” – emphasized Nina Shtanski.
