On July 14, 2011 PMR's Foreign Minister Vladimir Yastrebchak held a meeting with Deputy Head of the British Embassy in the Republic of Moldova Amy Sherwood. Deputies Pridnestrovien Foreign Minister Sergey Simonenko and Vitaliy Ignatiev participated in the meeting.
Interlocutors touched upon the wide range of mutually interesting issues. Special attention was given to current situation in the process of normalization of relations between the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova in the context of unofficial consultations in Moscow on June 21 and in the light of recent contacts on the level of political representatives of the sides.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the situation with the activity of expert (working) groups of Moldova and Pridnestrovie. Touching upon given issue, Vladimir Yastrebchak pointed, that harmonization and approval of the regulations of the activity of expert groups and actual readiness of the Moldavian partners to work bilaterally on solving urgent problems, are the key aspects of dynamics in given direction.
The head of the foreign office drew the attention of British colleagues to the peculiarities of Pridnestrovien position and the principles of equal in rights and mutually agreed dialoging.
