Today PMR's Foreign Minister Vladimir Yastrebchak held the meeting with the Chairman of the Moldova-Germany Committee for Cooperation, Adviser of the Bundestag on Foreign Policy and Moldovan Issues, Martin Sieg. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR, Alexander Maliarchuk, and project manager of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Moldova, Natalia Korobka-Yanusevitch.
In the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed the problem of resuming the Moldova-Pridnestrovie consultations in the 5+2 format. Vladimir Yastrebchak emphasized that presently within the negotiation process framework two levels of conducting the dialogue have been formed, i.e. the level of political representatives and expert level. Practical issues concerning the life of common people are solved within expert groups. The Minister stressed it is of high importance to render all-round assistance to experts in reaching compromise in the solution of issues of railway communication, interaction of law-enforcement structures of the sides, as well as humanitarian issues. The diplomat marked that the progress in settling practical issues is likely to bring the dialogue to a higher level of political representatives.
