On April 6, 2012 the PMR's MFA saw the meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and Deputy Head of the Embassy Mission of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova Bjorn Kavalkov-Halvarsson.
The issues connected with cooperation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Kingdom of Sweden in the sphere of culture and education formed the main topic of the meeting. In particular, the details of holding of the first Festival of Swedish films in Tiraspol in June were discussed. Within the framework of the present event the Pridnestrovian spectators will see five films premiered in 2010-2011.
During the conversation diplomats also touched upon the issues of cooperation of T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University and Stockholm Economy School in Riga. Other initiatives of cultural-historical and economical nature were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting diplomats expressed readiness for strengthening of bilateral contacts in humanitarian sphere.
