Today, on November 20, 2017, a working meeting of political representatives from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova Vitaly Ignatiev and Gheorghe Balan was held in Kishinev. The talks took place in the conference hall of the Kishinev airport before the departure of the PMR Foreign Minister on a working trip to the capital of the Russian Federation.
The meeting focused on the current state of the dialogue at the level of expert (working) groups of the parties with an emphasis on prospects for achieving concrete practical agreements on some issues, including those reflected in the Berlin Protocol. In particular, an exchange of views took place on ways to resolve problems in the field of rail and road transport, education, communications, and agriculture.
During the conversation, the interlocutors also touched upon a number of aspects of the forthcoming meeting of the “Permanent Conference ...” in the 5+2 format.
