The PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and delegation of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. The event was attended by Deputy Director of the RISS Tamara Guzenkova, the RISS leading research worker Oleg Nemensky, senior research worker Yevgeny Biryukov and the RISS research worker Georgy Menyailo.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. They touched upon some aspects of the implementation of joint projects in scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres, in particular interaction between the RISS and T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University. Special attention was paid to the socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie, including in the context of strengthening restrictive measures by neighbouring states.
In the framework of the dialogue with the Russian guests Vitaly Ignatiev pointed out: “Pridnestrovie and the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies have traditionally been in good, friendly relations. There is a dynamic development in our cooperation, despite the obstacles posed by the Moldovan side. I am convinced that in the future we will cooperate successfully and tackle common tasks for the benefit of the Russian Federation and Pridnestrovie”.
At the end of the meeting the sides agreed to continue direct communication on all issues of mutual interest.
