On August 1, 2011 in PMR's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak met with Abkhazian Popular Assembly Speaker and acting President Nugzar Ashuba in Sukhum.
During the meeting interlocutors discussed the issues, connected with the development of foreign-policy situation around Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia at present stage, and also touched upon some aspects of cooperation of two states. Vladimir Yastrebchak and Nugzar Ashuba exchanged opinion on perspectives of development of bilateral relations.
By order of PMR's President Igor Smirnov, Vladimir Yastrebchak performed honourable mission. Minister presented Parliament Speaker with medal “20 years of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic”. In concordance with Decree of Pridnestrovien President, Nugzar Ashuba is awarded for “appreciable contribution to strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the people of the Republic of Abkhazia and of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic in connection with the 20th Anniversary of creation of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic”.
