President Yevgeny Shevchuk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to the RM Ingrid Tersman. Taking part in the meeting was also Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski.
The participants discussed topical issues relating to socio-economic status of citizens in the PMR. The two sides exchanged views on the current situation in Pridnestrovie, in the context of new challenges also related to the situation in neighboring countries and international trade.
The meeting also discussed the implementation by the Swedish Embassy of a number of cultural and educational projects in Pridnestrovie. Yevgeny Shevchuk noted the importance of the implementation of social projects in the country and expressed the gratitude to the Embassy of Sweden for active assistance in the matter. The next Swedish Film Festival is planned to be held in Pridnestrovie in March.
At the end of the meeting, the participants emphasized the openness of the dialogue. According to the sides, the discussion was held in a constructive way.
