Today, the PMR's MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation Nina Shtanski and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark to Romania and the Republic of Moldova Michael Sternberg. Taking part in the meeting was Anna Poroseci, Program Coordinator at the Danish Embassy.

This is the first visit by Michael Sternberg to the Republic. The purpose of the visit was wish to get first hand information about Pridnestrovie with regard to its today's blockaded situation, as well as about the negotiation process between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova.

Nina Shtanski thanked the guest for the interest in Pridnestrovie and described in detail the difficulties which the Republic had to overcome in connection with the situation in Ukraine that was traditionally a guarantor in negotiation process. Besides, Minister noted that the situation was complicated by the presence of the unresolved conflict with Moldova which took discriminatory measures against Pridnestrovie through economic, transport, banking blockade.

According to Nina Shtanski, Pridnestrovie makes a lot of efforts aimed at preventing public outcry in connection with the events. Therefore, the PMR's MFA is in permanent daily contact with colleagues from Moldova, Ukraine, and Europe. “This is very important to us, because our openness allows You, and your colleagues to draw your own conclusion about what is actually happening here.  So much so, that existing difficulties return us, the parties in conflict, and other actors, to the state of media war having a particularly negative impact on the cooperation. And for that reason, we are interested in an open dialogue,”- Nina Stanski explained to Michael Sternberg.
