Today in Tiraspol opening of new office of the Institute of CIS countries took place. Director of the Institute is deputy of State Duma of the Russian Federation of I, IV and V callings Konstantin Zatulin. Rector of T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, heads of national communities of Russia, Moldova and Ukraine, representatives of Tiraspol-Dubossarian eparchy, the Council of Artists of Pridnestrovie, and also Izborsky club members being on a visit in the republic these days, took part in this event. Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented by Deputy Ministers Vitaly Ignatiev and Igor Shornikov.
“Work of official representation of the Institute of CIS countries in Tiraspol will be aimed at extension of cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia, realization of humanitarian projects and support of countrymen living in the republic”.
Addressing to attendants, Konstantin Zatulin quoted the Emperor Nikolay I, “Where Russian flag was run up once, it must not be hauled down”. The Director of the Institute assured that today Russia made one more step towards Pridnestrovie.
Igor Shornikov noticed that Pridnestrovie greets this initiative. “The Institute of CIS countries is a long-standing reliable partner of Minisitry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. We collaborate in consolidation of Russian and Pridnestrovian expert societies for support of countrymen. I think, it's an affirmative example for other structures of Russian civil society”, the diplomat said.
