On April 28-29, on the invitation of the head of Ternopol regional public administration, delegation of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic took part in the Sixth International Investment Forum which was held in Ternopol (Ukraine). The Pridnestrovien delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Sergey Simonenko and director of the CJSC “Dnestrmebel” Alexander Pavlenko.
The forum gathered delegations from 10 countries and members of the International Trade Club of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the neighbouring regions, field-oriented institutions and organisations. The participants of the event got the opportunity to get acquainted with the potential of the major fields of economy of the Ternopol region, districts and regional center.
Representatives of Pridnestrovie also met with head of Ternopol regional public administration V. Khoptyan, Mayor of the city of Ternopol S. Nadal, management of Ternopol National Economic University and Ternopol National Pedagogical University. The meetings focused on possible directions of cooperation between the Ternopol region and Pridnestrovie in the socio-economic, scientific and educational and cultural spheres, and also on prospect for interaction at the level of public organisations.
In the course of the visit to Ternopol, members of the Pridnestrovien delegation laid flowers to the monument to Soviet Warriors who in year 1944 liberated the city from the German-Fascist invaders.
