Today, Deputy Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Government for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affair of the PMR Nina Shtanski received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Moldova Artur Mikhalsky. It is the first official visit by Polish diplomat to Pridnestrovie.
In the course of the conversation Nina Shtanski marked the importance of getting first-hand information about Pridnestrovie by foreign diplomats. In this context, she told that visits by Polish diplomats are a good example. It is already the third visit by heads of Polish diplomatic representation during this year. “Today we don't need mediators and build direct dialogue with all countries,” the Minister stressed.
In the course of the conversation the sides discussed issues f cooperation in socio-humanitarian sphere.
During the talk, Artur Mikhalsky informed that he had an opportunity to meet with representatives of Polish diaspora in Tiraspol.”The Polish diaspora in Pridnestrovie is sufficiently large and, as we know, it has deep historic roots,” the diplomat told.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed willingness to intensify development of humanitarian links between Pridnestrovie and Poland.
