On March 6, 2012, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski held the meeting with the UN delegation headed by UN Deputy Resident Representative in Moldova Matilda Dimovska. The meeting also saw the participation of Chief of the Foreign Policy and Protocol Department of the PMR's President Galina Sandutsa, members of UNDP in Moldova Doina Munteanu, Viktor Munteanu, and Vladislav Kulminsky, UN Women Gender Advisor Ulziisuren Jamsran, Program Coordinator of the UN Population Fund Boris Gylka and representative of the World Health Organization Silviu Domenti.
United Nations Organization actively implements projects in humanitarian and social area in Pridnestrovie and assists in the work of public organizations. As Matilda Dimovska reported, the goal of the visit is to analyze current work and define further perspectives of cooperation. In the course of the meeting the sides also discussed the possibilities of the UNO in rendering methodological, consultative-technical and financial assistance.
Nina Shtanski noted that Pridnestrovie appreciates cooperation with the UNO and is ready to continue constructive interaction. In the course of the conversation the Minister told that all institutions of the Republic are set to active and dynamic work with representatives of international organizations. She stressed coordinating role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR noting that the foreign policy office is ready to render all necessary assistance to make cooperation of the UNO with the Pridnestrovien agents most successful.
Today, UN delegation will also pay working visits to a number of ministries and institutions of Pridnestrovie carrying out state policy in the field of education and human rights protection.
