Today, on 14 October 2015, during the working visit Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with officials of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
The Head of the Foreign Ministry of the PMR was received by Adviser to the President of the RF on developing Eurasian integration within the framework of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space between the Russian Federation, Belarus, and Kazakhstan Sergey Glazyev at the Administration of the President of Russia. The meeting was also attended by Sergey Gubarev, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Dmitry Loskutov, the Assistant to Deputy Prime Minister, Special Representative of the Russian President for Pridnestrovie D.O. Rogozin.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the current problems of socio-economic development of Pridnestrovie under the existing threats and challenges. Vitaly Ignatiev informed the Russian partners in detail about measures of pressure taken by Moldova and Ukraine against the Pridnestrovian economy. They discussed the promising ways out of the current situation and outlined possible joint actions and projects that could contribute to improving the welfare of the population of Pridnestrovie.
Then, Vitaly Ignatiev attended a working lunch with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev at the Russian Foreign Ministry. The participants discussed the whole array of topical issues related to the ongoing negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Vitaly Ignatiev informed the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry about some results of the meetings held between September and October this year of representatives on political issues and the expert (working) groups. Particular emphasis was placed on the discriminatory measures of the Republic of Moldova in the area of politically-motivated prosecutions of citizens of Pridnestrovie, blocking transport logistics and activities of economic entities of the republic.
