Today, 10 June 216, the OSCE Mission Office in Bendery hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova on ecology.
During the discussion Protocol on cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology was finalized and signed with active assistance of the representatives of the mediators and observers in the negotiation process pursuant to the provisions of the Protocol on the results of the “Permanent Conference...” meeting in the 5+2 format, held in Berlin on 2-3 June this year. The document is aimed at mainstreaming agreements previously reached in this area and, in particular, it determines the procedure and the nature of the exchange of hydrometeorological information between the relevant services of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The parties also agreed to continue working on the draft document on cooperation in the field of fisheries management and sustainable use of the water biological resources of the Dniester in order to sign this agreement within the terms set forth in the Protocol on the results of the “Permanent Conference...” meeting.
