A working meeting of Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF. The meeting was attended by Director of the Second Department of the CIS of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrei Rudenko, as well as Deputy Director of the Second Department of the CIS of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the situation around Pridnestrovie. In particular, special attention was paid to incidents with uncoordinated flights made by a Romanian aircraft in the airspace of the PMR, as well as in the Security Zone, in violation of existing rules and regulations.
The discussion touched upon topical aspects of the current state of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. In particular, the diplomats discussed the dynamics of interaction between the parties at the level of expert (working) groups. In this context, it was noted that the Republic of Moldova continues to actually sabotage meaningful work at different levels of dialogue. Vitaly Ignatiev stressed that the Pridnestrovian side highly appreciates the constructive potential of the Russian Federation’s initiative in the form of “non paper” in the context of prospects of holding the 5+2 meeting.
At the end of the meeting the sides expressed satisfaction with the high dynamics of Russian-Pridnestrovian diplomatic contacts.
