Nina Shtanski Answered the Questions of a Correspondent of the Danish Newspaper “Jyllands-Posten”

Today Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR on Issues of International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski gave interview to the correspondent of the Danish Newspaper “Jyllands-Posten” Michael Kuttner.



The journalist was interested in particular aspects of economic, social and cultural life of Pridnestrovie. Conversation touched on Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations and highlighted difficulties to be faced by Pridnestrovie attempting to build atmosphere of confidence with the neighbouring state.



Responding to the journalist's questions, Nina Shtanski stressed that the people of Pridnestrovie have the right to a comfortable, fulfilling life regardless of the political status of the Republic. The Head of the Pridnestrovian diplomacy also told Michael Kuttner on Eurasian aspirations of Pridnestrovie determined by the results of the referendum in 2006. She recalled that more than 97% of Pridnestrovians voted for independence of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and further free joining of Pridnestrovie to the Russian Federation.



During the conversation Nina Shtanski drew attention of the Danish journalist to the fact that multiethnic population of Pridnestrovie lives in peace and harmony. “There are no disagreements on the cultural, ethnic or religious grounds in the Republic. Therefore Pridnestrovie can serve a good example of tolerance for the whole world,” said the Head of the Pridnestrovian diplomacy.
