Meeting with delegation of the Republic of Poland

On 10 June the PMR’s MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Shornikov and delegation of the Republic of Poland, headed by Kacper Wańczyk, Head of Division of Ukraine and Moldova, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

During the meeting, Igor Shornikov described some aspects of the ongoing Moldovan-Pridnestrovian negotiations, gave a high estimate to the results of the latest Berlin meeting of the “Permanent Conference...” in the 5+2 format on 2-3 June this year. According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Protocol signed on the results of the meeting confirmed the focus of international participants on intense and meaningful work for the early resolution of the most sensitive issues in relations between Moldova and Pridnestrovie in the socio-economic sphere. The diplomat noted that the Pridnestrovian side had presented comprehensive draft agreements in all areas of cooperation reflected in the document.

The sides also exchanged views on a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation, relating to the implementation of some joint social and humanitarian projects.

At the end of the discussion the sides agreed to maintain contact on matters of mutual interest.
