Today, in accordance with the agreements reached in the framework of the Conference on Confidence Building Measures (held on June 10-11, 2014 in Freising, Germany) the OSCE Office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of the expert (working) groups on ecology and agriculture.
During the meeting the sides discussed a number of provisions of the “Joint action plan on the environment protection and sustainable use of natural resources for 2013-2014”, furthermore, a particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the document. The Joint action plan was signed on July 25, 2013, however, the experts were not able to approve the mechanism of its implementation.
The Pridnestrovian side again drew attention to the need of developing relevant interdepartmental documents between the relevant structures of Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the Joint action plan.
Also, the protocols of the previous meeting of the expert (working) groups were signed by the industry experts of the sides. Following the meeting, the sides expressed a general view on the need to continue systemic interaction on relevant issues on ecology.
