These days delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia stays on the official visit to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The visit of Abkhazian guests is coincided with the 20-th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between our republics.
The delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by the First Deputy Defence Minister Beslan Tsvizhba, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by Irakli Tuzhba, the Chief of the Department of the Russian Federation, the Republic of South Ossetia, the PMR, the CIS-countries and Georgia and Emma Tania, Deputy Chairperson of the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Floral tribute at the Memorial of Military Glory took place as part of the visit. Pridnestrovie was represented by the Defence Minister Alexander Lukyanenko, Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev, and Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank Eduard Kosovskiy.
Thereafter interagency agreements were signed in the Palace of Republic - in particular, the plan of bilateral cooperation between Ministries of Defence of the PMR and RA for 2013 and the agreement on cooperation between the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank and the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Vitaly Ignatiev noted significance of such meetings. “These events are not only coincided with important historical dates. They reflect the ties that bind Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia on different levels. During 20 years of effective cooperation our countries signed about twenty agreements. And we further to fill practical content of our cooperation in order to settle topical issues,” the diplomat emphasized.
In the course of the visit of the Abkhazian delegation to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic a reception at the office of the Delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie, a meeting of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RA with members of the Council of Young Diplomats under the Pridnestrovian MFA, and a meeting with Nina Shtanski, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR on Issues of International Cooperation/the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie are planned.
Besides, delegation from the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will repay a visit to the Republic of Abkhazia in the context of celebrating the 20-th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty. During this visit bilateral agreements between other authorities of brotherly republics will be concluded.
